Former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama might have bid The White House goodbye in 2017, but their words still have the power to inspire others even today. Heading to Singapore in what would be the Obamas’ first ever public business event, the hugely anticipated sessions were an opportunity for the power couple to share their stories which span politics, activism, and family.
Solution
With such high profile names on the speaker list, security was especially crucial to ensure the safety of the Obamas and the attendees. The Singapore Expo was chosen as a venue as there was plenty of space for heightened security screening.
The spacious venue bolstered human traffic flow, as VIP attendees can move seamlessly between the VIP Lounge, the Meet & Greet area, and the VIP Seating Zone. To ensure that all attendees had the best viewing experience, tiered seating fanned out from the stage for a clear view of the speaker panel from all around the room.
Barack Obama and Michelle Obama each had an evening dedicated to them, with the highlight of the session being a 90-minute interview-style moderated speech.
Commemorating the Obamas’ first public-speaking appearance, attendees were treated to traditional wushu and drums opening performances. Before they took to the stage, we also created a 8 minute video highlighting their respective achievements and the legacy that each left behind as an introduction to their speech.
